I'm not even going to talk about the record, I see your point in that sense. 24 games in a shortened season. This equals 48 games in a 82 game season. Goalies have won the Vezina by only playing 48-55 games. The fact is he played amazing.

The Vezina Trophy is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's goaltender who is "adjudged to be the best at this position"

For the Vezina I would be fine if he won it but would have preferred if he played more games.

Personally I do think that record shouldn't count nothing against Anderson but his numbers would have slipped had he played more games. To say he shpuld habe won the vezina is dumb when Bob Crawford and a few others all had great years too. He should have votes but no vezina or record.

The same goes for the Hawks season record. Who knows what wpuld have happened if they played an east coast team like the Bruins or Pens. They dominated thw west yes which is the tougher conference but you never know what coulda happened vs the East during this record. Less travel makes it easier to recover for the next game

No he didn't... Be cause he played half of a half of a season. Being the best in your position would also include playing for a majority of the season.
There's no justification at all to give Anderson that Vezina and the only one I see claiming he should is you :lol:

It still counts to a certain extent. Records and shit like that shouldn't count but everything else basically does.

To me, last season was more for entertainment than anything of substance. Sure it was great seeing teams like the Leafs make the playoffs and the Hawks streak, and the Ducks over-achieve all season but to me none of those things really hold much substance because it was a very difficult season for the players and a shortened training camp makes it hard for anything other than the entertainment factor to stick. But that's just the way I look at it

I agree with you for the most part. I wouldn't brag about my teams success based off last season or anything. Maybe if I was a Chicago fan haha.
