If you start making exceptions or you reassure people "no, it's ok, the rule was written 3 days ago, we'll slap you next week" it's a slippery slope and the gray area gets bigger and bigger each week. Keep it simple, keep it tough. So, if it's a hard lesson, all the better you learn.

this is a fucking stupid approach to rule changes in such a large community with so many different variables. Laughable, really.

how u gon complain about the bad vibes of the SHL

when you're here producing some bad vibes

c'mon dawg

My issues in the SHL don't come from any "bad vibes" that individual people create on their own but rather how the decision making process happens and how the league goes about implementing those decisions. If you're talking about my posts in the other thread, which I am sure you are, it has nothing to do what people say to one another or how they say it. I frankly don't care about that. What I do care about is how league affecting decisions are made and then passed down with little to no chance to actually react to those decisions. If i wasn't lucky enough to have put my capped tpe in my earlier in the week, I probably would have been in the 30%~ of people affected by the rule change and had my updates skipped. Now when you put new rules in place, surely there is going to be some people who dont' get the message, thats bound to happen. But when 30% of the league, literally 1/3 of the people actively updating their players, are skipped because a rule was changed/made there is a huge problem with the way things are done around here. I cant be the only one that thinks that 30% of the league's updates getting skipped isn't an issue.

Lmfao 30%, really? Go and count em man. 30% ahahaha where's this figure coming from man?

30% was a number I heard earlier in the day. I should have fact checked this number myself to avoid looking like an idiot, but here we are.

Regardless, it comes to a total of 10% of players being skipped. i just spent an hour or so counting 109 SHL players. I didn't bother counting send downs because I feel like SHL players are enough for an example here.

11 players were outright skipped on this round of updates.

Darby saved 3 people from being skipped by allowing them time to contact him.

Tig saved 1 person from being skipped by allowing them to contact him.

SlashACM saved 1 person (that person being you) from being skipped. I'm not sure what happened here because slash said "fuck it I'll do it anyways" I'm not sure if he made an exception to the rule because you're the head updater or if you contacted him in time to get your updated done after you fixed your post. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here in that you probably contacted him.

My Supreme Updater, this rule was implemented 3 days ago, 2 days for some because some teams get updated on Saturdays, before updates had to go in. Why are you not holding your updaters to the same standard you want the rest of the league to be held to? If you want things to be so cut and dry and not in a "gray area" why did you allow this discrepancy inside your updater team? Why were some teams not given a warning if their update was valid or not. What happened with your update? Again, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here, but I still feel like that needs to be explained.

But all that information is an aside to the point I was originally trying to make. Have you ever tried to get 100+ people on the same page with something -- No less in 2-3 days time? Obviously you struggled getting your updater team on the same page here in the same time frame as some people were hard skipped and others were given the chance to make changes to their update pages. The point I was trying to make originally that rule changes that affect the entire league, aka probably most of them, should be implemented in a way that everyone has a fair chance to make adjustments for them. 3 days does not seem like a fair chance here. Take that for what you will, but since you found my previous posts so comical I felt like I owed you this post to explain myself.
