Task #5:
Which player on either team is most deserving of winning a championship?
Despite being a rookie this season, Troy McClure III is the most deserving player for winning a championship. After a rough go in juniors with Colorado and being upset in the playoffs in his final season, McClure is deserving of a shot to lift a trophy this season and hopefully he and Winnipeg get that chance this year.
What young player has a chance to make a name for themselves in this series?
This is going to sound repetitive, but it's going to be McClure III again. He had an incredibly successful SMJHL career individually, but his first year with the Jets has been disappointing by his standards. If he can turn it up in this series, he'll carve a spot out in SHL lore.
Which organization needs this championship more in terms of legacy?
West Kendall definitely needs this win more than the Jets do for their overall legacy. For West Kendall, a Challenge Cup win this season would show that their S42 Championship wasn't a fluke. The Jets also have more young players and a questionably deeper prospect pool, and they will have this chance again.
Task #2
The SHL is highly disappointed in the actions of Winnipeg Jets defenseman Gary Grease. His actions in the Tim Horton’s restaurant and café down the street from the home arena of the Jets are abhorrent and no human should ever have to witness the carnage that was undertaken in that location.
On Wednesday morning, Winnipeg PD was called to the location to respond to a large male who had reportedly worked himself behind the counter, was eating several hundred powdered donuts and throwing the remainder at the random people in the store. This male was defenseman Gary Grease. Several people were reportedly injured by the thrown donuts and the store had several dozen dollars in damage from the donuts. Grease has been banned from this particular store but the Tim Horton’s corporation has thanked Grease for his drawing attention to their stores as stock prices have increased in the time since this morning.
Grease will be fined the cost of one dozen Timbits.
