Player Name: Slip McScruff Born: May, 1993 Height: 6ft 1in Weight: 215 lbs Position: Defense Shoots: Right Current Team: Winnipeg Jets Former Teams: St. Louis Scarecrows National Team: USA SHL Draft: S45 Player Career: S44 - Present 3. International Play Slip skated with the Team USA WJC roster for three tournaments from S44 to S46, taking home Silver in S44. It's reported that Slip has close ties with Team USA management, playing a heavy role in the WJC management for S44, wearing the C in S45 and the A in S46. Since S45, he has had close ties with the main roster management, despite playing in the WJC. Going forward it's unclear when he will crack the main roster but he can be seen helping out behind the bench at each game. 4. Personal Life Not much is known about Slip's life before the SMJHL draft, just that his appearance mysteriously coincided with the disappearance of wrestler El Scruffo. Since coming onto the scene, Slip has been a non-stop homer for whatever team he's played on. He's got a condo in St. Louis and an apartment in Winnipeg, spending equal parts of his time doing community outreach in both locations during the off season. 5. Honors, awards, and achievements In Slip's three seasons with the St. Louis Scarecrows, he earned five total awards. Obviously, the big one is that he was a part of all three Four Star Cup wins from S44 to S46, including his season as Captain in S45. For individual awards, he earned the Michael Haan Award for most Dedicated in S45 and the Ondrej Ravchitikov Award for Best Defensemen in S46, both of which are St. Louis team awards. Besides that, his manager SD took home the coveted Tigole Dizzy Augustus Award of Excellence for the S45 cup run. To this point, Slip has only played most of a regular season in the SHL and has therefore not had the opportunity to contend for any awards in the SHL. |
