2. Playing Career
Dylan Karlsson spent two years with the Halifax Raiders in the SMJHL. He scored quite a bit for a defenseman with over 20 points both years in spite of not getting that many minutes. He was drafted by the Chicago Syndicate in the fifth round but was traded shortly after to play for the Winnipeg Jets. He then signed a one-year deal, and was a send-down for that contract. He wanted to go pro though, so when he signed this year for 6 million dollars that was his intent. He just got called up to the Winnipeg Jets this year and in his rookie season, he has 1 goal and 8 assists in 38 games. He is playing on the third pairing and will probably move up the lineup as his career goes on. Getting his first goal and getting more assists recently has been very motivating. The season isn't over yet so he could still accomplish more before it is.
