Task 1: So Flacko Lagerfield is from Chicago, the minute he arrived at Chicago's fine airport, he was greeted with fans from all over, some from Tampa, some from Seattle, some from Chicago and even some from Buffalo. They were all there for Lagerfield, the greatest player in Chicago history. Now they planned a local charity event at a park in dowtown Chicago, there were other SHL players there like Benjamin Blue and David Fantobens who were helping out with the charity and there for the 3v3 charity tournament. Lagerfield's youngest son Carter was there and so was his wife. They all had fun playing hockey and then there was a barbeque in the park and fireworks at night. At the end, Lagerfield and some of the other players around signed some autographs and then they announced the total amount raise for the charity. Overall, not a bad day for the players.
Task 5: 2 - I think @JR95 takes this. Every GM in this series is top notch but JR has dedicated a lot of personal time to learn the simulator well and he has taught a lot of things I still use in STHS to this day. For that reason, I would have to go with JR. Task 9: Honestly, I wouldn't call this team a disapointment because they didn't make the finals, but because of how their overall season went. The Hamilton Steelhawks looked like a team that could maybe grab a late playoff spot and definitely do some damage. I mean they did some damaga last season and grabbed a late playoff spot so a decent amount of fans and analysts predicted that this year would be the case as last years for the Steelhawks. However, it wasn't. They started off strong in the first few games but they fell apart quick and eventually they saw themselves outside of a playoff spot. They tried to re salvage things but that didn't go as planned and the rentals they traded for didn't really do much for what the GMs were hopping for. It's not the end for them though as the team has a strong and bright future. Task 11: I would add David @Fantobens to the team where his career started off in, sunny West Kendall. Fantobens is the exact type of player you need in tight playoff situations and game 7s. He is an extremely vocal player and always positive and he is serious when he needs to be. He is loved and respected by everyone in the locker room and he's a great leader in Tampa and I'm sure he'd be a great leader no matter where he played. He is exactly who you want for close playoff series. He will give that extra motivation to the team, even if his player isn't the greatest in terms of production, that's not what matters the most. You need to keep your head in the game during big games and Fantobens will do exactly just that. He will and can be the center of the locker room when you need him the most and I'm sure any team would love to have a Fantobens. Task 12: Both of these teams didn't make the playoffs the season before so they both faced a lot of their struggles however I would have to give the nod to the Dragons in a case like this. They have been a premier team in the league for years now so they always have the extra pressure from their fans that they need to be top performers in the regular season and the post season so when they didn't manage to make the playoffs last year they caught a lot of dragon heat. There were a lot of skeptical fans that didn't think the Dragons would ever be good enough for a deep run in the post season for some time but somehow they did. After not making the playoffs, they managed to not only get back in the playoffs but they didn't lost their special playoff luck and managed to get to the finals. Task 13: sent @PT Director ![]() |
