Task 1:

Of course, the hometown hero here is a bit overblown. I am my town’s first SHL player however, and people like to hear that story. So, to begin with the tour, we had the city hall, and meeting with the mayor, then a tour through the few schools the town has to meet the kids and have a bit of a talk about junior hockey and how enjoyable of a sport it is. Meeting with my junior hockey team aswell, more of a friendly catch up of how it’s going, and then we go to the midgets. The small guys are really excited and have a bunch of questions, and I show them some of the skills you need as a defenseman in the SHL, and also have some small coaching thing going on. To top it all off, a big podium was built on the main square, and there are some musical performances, aswell as a big signing party for people to bring their stuff in for me to sign. All in all, a busy, but a fairly enjoyable day nonetheless.

Task 3:

Well, it’s not coming soon, I am being called up this very season. Unbanked and all, I think Andrej is ready for the next level of competition. While he wasn’t super succesful in SMJHL, he caught enough eyes and got enough recognition to be drafted really high, and his team trusts him on his skills. To be honest, the best two skills are probably going to be defense and hopefully checking. Skating is decent, passing is...passable (I know), but the big weaknesses are probably going to be scoring and then probably puck handling, so there isn’t going to be that much in terms of blocked shots, but there is a belief Andrej’s pairmate is going to be handling that instead. Of course that the defense could see a bump to 99, but it’s really TPE expensive and I don’t see it as hyper important for his development and success in SHL for now.
