It was a very tough first round exit for the Knights as they lost to the Lethbridge Lions in a tough 6 game series. The Knights finishing at the bottom of the basement this season with 35 points looked at the possiblity of an upset over the Lethbridge. After two games it look it would be the case as they took away home ice advantage from the Lions, but dropping both games at home. The Knights had their backs against the wall and were only able to fend it off for another two games before losing Game 6 in a close 3-2 loss. They are were a lot of takeaways from this series, but it was the fact that the Knights couldn't get away being hemmed in their own end for the most of the series. A winning formula consists of great d and puck possession as well as being to get the most offensive production from your team. The Knights just simply got out worked consistently and couldn't put the formula to solve the Lions. This being a rebuilding year for the Knights they look add some players via this upcoming SMJHL Draft as well as the current members of the team getting a year older and developing in taking the next step.
