Code: CW TASK: (Written, 3 TPE) I think I had a pretty solid rookie season in the SHL and I hopefully earned some more ice time going into next season. I was actually leading all SHl rookies in scoring before falling off a bit there as the season went on. I ended up fifth in rookie scoring with 24 points in 50 games. I tied for the most goals on the rookie leaderboard which I was happy about, especially since many of these rookies played more minutes per game than I did. I had an even better playoff run, with 10 points in 13 games played, and I ended up with more assists than goals while still doubling any other rookie on the board in goals. I also managed to be a plus player in the playoffs, showing I can handle myself in the defensive zone as well. I'm just going to keep stacking TPE and hopefully I can find a bigger role on the Specters to help out. I'm guessing I will still be shut out by the old people in the top six forward spots, but maybe us third liners can get some more time! @JKortesi81 @TheDangaZone Code: Task 05: (Written, up to 4 TPE) 1. Put together a challenge cup fantasy team using the 2 teams in the finals as the player pool. This fantasy team must include at least 1 young player (S44 or higher) and in 50+ words discuss your choices. F - Louie Garrett F - Alexander Selich F - Nick Brain D - Cassius Darrow D - Troy McClure III G - Cedric Robinson I largely built my team not with fantasy success in mind (although I picked all fantastic players so do not get me wrong there) but with an eye to people on the site that I like. My picks largely skew to the younger players or people that I share locker rooms with, so that is what I had in mind making this team. 2. This series boasts an interesting matchup at the blue line between star studded defenders! Which includes Troy McClure III, Gary Grease and Slip McScruff from Winnipeg.. & Buffalo's Tatu Makela, Connor Tanner and Charles Walker.. which group do you expect will outshine the other and why? I expect the listed Winnipeg Jets defense corps to outshine the listed Buffalo defense corps. Nothing against all the listed players, but I made that decision because Cassius Darrow wasn't mentioned on the Buffalo blueline. He may be one of the younger defenders, and doesn't have as much star power as the others (yet), but he's got a badass name and is a good guy, so his inclusion would have tilted this to Buffalo imo. 3. Winnipeg making it to the finals was an unexpected surprise. What were some of the main reasons why this franchise was able to persevere into the leagues most important series. (*tag anyone involved) The main reason the Jets were able to move on is because SimonT is a fickle jerk! I'm kidding, the Jets are probably such a strong team because of their balanced team play. In the regular season, they had eight different players with at least 10 goals. Also, a majority of their high minutes players were on the positive sign, so they all played together pretty well as a team. So I'm crediting the whole team really instead of a few individuals, good job yo. 5. Both franchises come into the series with a hot Cedric! Between Winnipegs Cedric Moreau and Buffallo's Cedric Robinson which emerging netminder has the advantage over the other in this series? I guess all goalie creates should be named Cedric from here on out! I am going to give the advantage to Robinson here, mostly just because I like Grok and his build has been known to step up in big games (thanks for the gold medal my friend). It should be an interesting matchup though, as I don't think there is too much of an edge for a big advantage between the two. (4 TPE for 4 50 word answers) |
