Task #1
There is only one guy that I would even consider forming a team around from the two teams in the Challenge Cup and that would be Slip McScruff @Scrufdaddy from the Winnipeg Jets. Large, right-handed, defensive defenseman. Need I say more. McScruff is the type of player that every team hopes to stubble upon and the Jets were lucky enough to do so. Not only does he possess strong shutdown defensive skills demonstrated by his blocked shot totals, but he can also contribute offensively. He may not find the back of the net very often, but he sure knows how to set up his teammates. As the GM of a team I would be salivating thinking about his McScruff quarterbacking my powerplay while also being able to out of his own zone. The Jets are lucky to have a young defenseman of this caliber in their ranks and he should be the cornerstone of their D corps moving forward. Word Count: 159 Task #3 This past season was by far the best for Maui since joining the SHL. The Barracudas dominated all season, winning their way to a President’s Cup and bye through the first round of the playoffs. Unfortunately, the playoffs ended prematurely for the team and the Cudas were on the golf course early than they wanted to be. Maui had a solid year all around and will simply look to continue to progress into next season. His role on the team is locked in as D2 behind the powerhouse Kristaps Ball and this is perfect for Maui. He will look to hopefully contribute a little more offensive as he still unable to crack the top 10 in defensive scoring this season. However, he is coming off a career season on the scoresheet, so things appear to be moving in the right direction. Moving forward, Maui and the Barracudas, must just keep doing what they have been doing and the success will come soon. Word Count: 162 Task #13 PM'd |
