CW TASK 1: (Written, 3 TPE)
Both teams in our challenge cup series come in with a healthy set of talented young players. if you were to choose a player from either teams SHL roster or there prospect pool with a (start date of S45, S46, S47 or S48) to build your team around, who would it be and why? What qualities on or off the ice make them 'that guy' and how do you think they would shape the image of their franchise? (150+ words and *tag any player involved in this task) If I had to build an entire team around just one of the players from these teams I would build around Winnipeg’s Slip McScruff @Scrufdaddy. I am defense first kind of guy and in my opinion you can’t go wrong with building around Slip on the backend. On the ice, Slip is solid defensively and also can chip in on the scoreboard. He was a +17 this year with 32 points. To add onto that he threw 154 hits and blocked 64 shots. You can’t ask for much more from a defenseman. Off the ice I know Slip is very active. We were briefly teammates on Team USA in the WJC and he seemed to always be doing something for the team. You don’t just want some primadonna dynamo to build your team around. You want a guy like Slip that can make people around him better on and off the ice. (152) CW TASK 3: (Written, 3 TPE) For most of us S48 is over and now its time to sit down with your GM's for a season end review! talk to your GM's about what youve accomplished, what you are strong at, what you need to improve on and what would you like your role to be moving into S49. Task must be 150 words or more. (*Tag your GM’s) What’s up @JR95 ? Let’s get the negative parts of the year out of the way first. Points-wise I regressed this year. I dropped back down to the same production as my rookie year. But that’s not why I’m on the team, right? My game is all about the defensive zone. This year I blocked a few less shots than last season but also with a little bit less time on ice. My physical game had a big uptick and I eclipsed my total hits despite less time on ice. Since joining the league I’ve put off developing my physical game in order to work on my speed and defensive games. After this season I am as good at both of those as I possible can be. I’m going to be getting stronger and nastier in our end. I know I need to work on my offensive game but my passing skill is alright enough. If I can get some more ice time next season, I think I can make the next jump in my career. (175) CW TASK 13: (*CASUAL MEMBER SPECIAL* Send answer in PM, up to 3 TPE) Its trivia time with 4 questions related to our Challenge Cup participants! 1.
