2. This series boasts an interesting matchup at the blue line between star studded defenders! Which includes Troy McClure III, Gary Grease and Slip McScruff from Winnipeg.. & Buffalo's Tatu Makela, Connor Tanner and Charles Walker.. which group do you expect will outshine the other and why? "Well this feels like a challenge but i'll give it a go. Out of all of these defenders only Slip has yet to add a Challenge Cup ring to his name. This unfamiliarity with what it takes to win might give the Stampede crew the edge in this comparison. Recent regular season success, paired with the more recent cup win for Buffalo makes me feel like they have the edge as well. That said, the Jets are meshing at the right time."

3. Winnipeg making it to the finals was an unexpected surprise. What were some of the main reasons why this franchise was able to persevere into the leagues most important series. (*tag anyone involved) "These Jets have come together at the right time of year. Ola Wagstrom has lead the way with 17 points and a HUGE 14 point performance from Nick Brain has provided some surprise depth scoring and then some. Finally I CANNOT leave out Cedric Moreau and his .922 SV% he is playing on God Mode right now and it may just be what the Jets need."

4. Buffalo has made it to the finals in 2 of the last 3 seasons. Who or what has been a primary reason for the recent success of this franchise. (*tag anyone involved) "First and foremost I HAVE to tag @Tomen and @WannabeFinn these guys have been hard at it on trying to build what once was the SHL's LEAST successful franchise into a contender and now are reaping the benefits. They brought together a great, if abrasive group of players on and off the virtual ice. Cedric Robinson has been instrumental as a REALLY young netminder who is still well on his way to being in the SHL a long time too."

5. Both franchises come into the series with a hot Cedric! Between Winnipegs Cedric Moreau and Buffallo's Cedric Robinson which emerging netminder has the advantage over the other in this series? "If I have to give out a choice it has to go to Robinson on the merit of his recent play over the course of the last 4 seasons. BOTH Tenders have cup rings, but Buffalo has been able to hold together much more regular season, and playoff success thus far. Its going to be a rough ride and one hell of a series."

S48 was the season of the podcasts here in the SHL and with increased audio competition comes the fight for Challenge Cup advertising! HO has asked you to create an audio add for a "Buffalo/Winnipeg preview" script to be aired on the radio. Create a '100' word hype add and then choose which podcast it will be appearing on and in 50+ words explain why you chose that podcast to air the script. (*Tag anyone involved)

I chose @Slappydoodle and @Bonk and their podcast because it is one of the most well known and longest running weekly podcast and is a no brainer from a PR and ratings standpoint. ANYONE who wants a good network for the coverage would do so."



CW TASK 10: (Written, 3 TPE)
CHALLENGE CUP HISTORY reports will be viewed instead of commericals for those watching the series online! pick any previous challenge cup finals from before your current player's time in the SHL and in 150+ words talk about the series including who won and in how many games, and who were some of the better players in that series. [include link to archives] "I pick the S22 Challenge Cup finals (One that I shamelessly covered recently) Between and These two were a similar tale to S48's and in that one had a good regular season run that felt special in and the other was a 4th place playoff squeaker in . Series went to all 7 games but came out on top with a 2-1 win in LA. It was fantastic hockey to cover. Daniel Merica lead them in goals with 11 also having 18 points only behind the 20 of Tommy Creller. Etienne Modano had 10 points as a rookie so its similar to what Nick Brain is up to. C.J. James posted some amazing numbers in net for and was a major deciding factor in who would come out on top. Could Buffalo play a similar roll as a low seed who rises to the occasion?"




CW TASK 3: (Written, 3 TPE)
For most of us S48 is over and now its time to sit down with your GM's for a season end review! talk to your GM's about what youve accomplished, what you are strong at, what you need to improve on and what would you like your role to be moving into S49. Task must be 150 words or more. (*Tag your GM’s) Well @TheDangerZone @JKortesi81 its been a blast. S48 was Physt's best season and now regression has begun, it is going to lead to more questions about builds and I am going to lean on you both for it, but I couldn't ask two better GMs. I think you are both set with Physt being the Defensive Captain of the team and one of your big minute guys. I NEED to improve on his playoff performances as I find that year in, year out he disappoints. Now idea how to fix it but I know it's important. Lets go get the Challenge Cup in S49 fellas, lets make a dynasty out of the SHL's Newest franchise.
