Alex Winters was excited to be going to the 50th Anniversary Gala. He was only in his 6th season in the SHL, so he thought it was unlikely that he was going to receive an invitation, but then he was informed that all award winners were automatically invited (as well as all current players). Wearing a gray pinstriped Armani suit with a pink shirt and tie, he certainly felt like he was better dressed than back in S45 when he won that award. Unfortunately for Alex, he wasn’t able to sit with his teammates at the Manhattan table, he was pushed to the side and had to sit at a couple tables with some of the other winners of the Jesster Trophy. Luckily for him, Barret McCarthy and James Dekens, his two teammates who also won the Jesster were sitting at the same table as him, and they were able to enjoy the evening with some good drinks and good food.
