After 38 games Commander Shepard has had some pretty sore shins from blocking so many shots. Shepard took a bad shot early in the season and has been dealing with recurring shin pain. Shepard still lays out to block shots and she last shot Shepard blocked really stung. After the game Shepard sunk feet into an ice bath and popped some advils. Shepard then applied Voltaren gel which is good for pain. There is not much else the training staff can do as there are no broken bones and players are not allowed to rest in the SHL. They advise Shepard to try and avoid blocking with the shins again which he will ignore as he always lays it all out on the ice, which caused a rift between the trainer and Shepard. In the end, Shepard remembered he is a badass super cop from the future and has super magical Medi-Gel that can heal his shin instantly.
