S50 PT #4 - Skills Competition
|
![]() Registered The Two-Time Two-Time Quote:Written Option #1: For one of the above competitions, craft your ideal field of 4 contestants to compete in the challenge. Make your case as to why you're choosing these 4 to represent the elitest of the elite in this skill right now. (150+ words) Beaujeaux Biscuit (WKP), Benjamin Blue (TBB), Walter Hobbs (WPG), Geezus Kryyst (HAM) would be the the four representatives on my ballot for "Best Shootout Goalie." Of the league's starting netminders, these four rank 7th, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in overall save percentage. In terms of penalty shot save percentage (minimum 10 shots against), they rank 1st, 3rd, 7th, and 2nd. While there are two outliers in each stat (Beaujeax being 7th in overall save percentage and Hobbs being 7th in penalty shot save percentage), combining both statistics makes each one of these goalies among the elite in the league. Others might point out that two of these goalies are in the bottom 5 in terms of total wins, but counting wins doesn't always tell the truth about how good a goalie is. Three of these goalies have helped their team make the playoffs, with Hobbs being the lone goalie in this list to miss out. It wasn't for lack of effort though, as he posted a sub-3.00 and had the 3rd highest save percentage of all starting goalies. These are the best of the best, and should be the representatives in this skills competition. |
