S51 WFT #4 - Make The Case
|
![]() Registered Posting Freak Code: The S51 Challenge Cup finals will be New Orleans vs. Hamilton For: Unfortunately, the sim is broken, one of these two teams new the sim was broken and built their team accordingly, the other just happened to have a team that suited the broken sim. Either way, it should be difficult for anyone to compete with either of these teams and I'd be shocked if they weren't in the finals. Code: The S51 Four Star Cup finals will be Carolina vs. Anchorage Against: The SMJHL is very unpredictable and a lot of the teams are very close together in terms of ability and talent. While both of these teams have some very obvious strengths with Anchorage having a well rounded team without significant weaknesses and the best goalie in the league, and Carolina having by far the best group of wingers in the league, they both have things that can hurt them like Carolina's weak defense and Anchorage's lacklustre forward depth. It's hard to say who will be in the SMJHL final. Code: I PUT THIS ONE IN EVERY SEASON BUT IT'S FINALLY NOT A JOKE - CAMERON CARTER II WILL WIN THE DAR AWARD For: Barring any really bad underlying numbers it's hard not to see him win this award. He leads the league in hits, is on point per game pace, has double digit blocked shots and plus minus and has just been an absolute force for Chicago at both ends of the ice this season. One thing that deniers might point to his the fact that he's barely played on the power play but the rest of his numbers stand out so much that it would be difficult to imagine him not winning it. Code: Nicholas Williams is the rightful MVP of S51 For: I think this should be an easy one, he's consistently been the league's best player all season. He's by far the best player on the best team, has a solid lead in points over the next player who isn't even in a playoff position and has just thoroughly dominated the league this year. Nicholas Williams will be the SHL's MVP in S51. Code: Daniel Bischoff will win the SMJHL MVP award For: Yet again an easy one as Daniel Bischoff has also been the best player on the best team all season long in the SMJHL. He's put up 52 points in 42 games so far and has been such an important part of the Armada's offense this season and it's hard to imagine anyone else taking this award for him. He's by far the most deserving MVP candidate and it would be a real shame if he didn't win it. Code: Sour skittles are better than regular skittles For: I mean, well obviously. Any kind of sour candy is better than regular candy with the exception of gummy bears and gummy worms which are better not sour. Anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong and absolutely cannot be trusted. Plain skittles are ok, don't get me wrong, but sour skittles are just in a world of their own compared to the plain ones. Easy question. Code: The West Kendall Platoon are having the luckiest season in recent memory For: Damn so many easy ones this season. Not really sure how anyone can argue against this. They have the worst goal differential of all 10 teams currently in a playoff spot, they have the worst goal differential in the entire Eastern conference, they're bad on paper and they've been bad in practice but somehow they've managed to pull off enough points to sit at the top of their division. A lot of it can be attributed to the 3 other teams in their division having really awful seasons and performing below expectations which just adds to WKP's luck this season. Code: San Francisco and New England are currently first and second in the league in powerplay % yet are the two most disappointing teams this season - this proves that having a good powerplay is actually,,,,,, BAD Against: This is some next level logical fallacy, like this is a causal fallacy if you've ever seen one. There's so much more to both these teams having a terrible season and there are 3 teams having fantastic seasons with power plays just as good as the other two. Chicago, New Orleans, and Edmonton are all having great seasons and all have top 5 power plays so that theory really just goes out the window. If you wanna see why both teams have been so bad you should probably start by pointing to the fact that both of them have some of the worst defensive records in the league, that would be a good place to start. ![]() ![]() [pb]Four Star Cup Champion (GM S52)
