To be honest with you man, I’m not that excited to be the 4th defenseman on the team. I’m going to be relegated to the majority of the defensive duties simply because Wanger has less TPE and will simply have less offensive capability. So, obviously Big Wanger is likely going to be very flaccid this season as he won’t clap as many bombs which means that he won’t fuck as many moms. At the very least, I can expect more overall team success because we’ve improved the Buffalo squad so much overall which is what I care the most about at the end of the day. That’s the whole point of playing on such a gifted dynasty like Buffalo. Sometimes you need to be Ferda for the betterment of the team. Winning over everything. ![Stampede Stampede](https://simulationhockey.com/images/smilies/stampede.png)
For what it's worth, this was the story for hippos first seasons in Buffalo as well, I started out as the third piece between König and Marius on the second line and pretty much got carried the first two seasons. My rookie season was even better then the second one. Third season König got swapped for Louie Garret and once again I saw Marius and Garret have great seasons while Hippo we mediocre offensively. It wasn't until the playoffs s48 I saw Hippo bloom out, and by that point I was somewhere along 1400-1500 TPE.
You might look in front of you and see these giant TPE defenders but that shifts pretty quickly, and sooner then you think you'll be leading them instead
That's the best part about being on the team man. Lee and Tomen have done a great job at instilling that top earners will eventually have a spot as a star the moment they get to a high TPE threshold and I feel like I can always trust them to that because of the continued success that they have brought the team. They've put Buffalo on the map as a respected team and it's very telling from the fact that they received the most votes for "Which SHL team is Best Managed?" in the S53 SHL Players Poll by Luke. Solid asset management and success quickly made Buffalo a place that I want to now call home and I feel like many others share the same sentiment whether or not they are actually on the team.
