Prior to going on break following the team missing the playoffs, Luca Del Vecchio asked his coach about what to improve during the off-season. The coach was direct, and told him to improve every aspect whilst staying balanced in all aspects of his game. And that’s exactly what Luca did. A lot of work went into positioning, reflexes and global understanding of the game. Fresh off a nomination to rookie of the year, the motivation to improve was there from the get go.

Training camp was productive once more, with Luca showing clear improvements in all aspects of play. Faster, more agile and better positioned to deny rebounds, Luca will only have himself to blame for any poor performance this season. With the net belonging solely to him for the foreseeable future now that Biscuit has retired, Luca sets his sights on making his first ever playoffs appearance this season. Any other result will be deemed a failure.
