PGS Game #1 - Vancouver Whalers vs. Colorado Raptors
#9

Comment 1: Interview with Whalers' GM @dmills3

1. Right now Whalers sits at the bottom of the standings but at the first few games you weren't that bad. Was this the best Whalers' game this season?
dmills3: This was definitely up there in terms of best games for us this season. The only other option was a 4-0 win against Detroit where Redacted made 39 saves. So this game against Colorado is tied for our best game this season.

2. You lost next two games against Raptors. Did Raptors play better or Whalers - worser?
dmills3: I think a little bit of both. Colorado has a good team and they've been getting better as the season goes on, but it's hard to ignore how bad the Whalers were after that game against Colorado. We won a game against St Louis after, but then lost 10 in a row, so we arguably got worst.

3. Name Redacted played an outstanding game. Who else had a great performance?
dmills3: Bryce McMahon also had a great game against the Raptors, where he scored 2 goals, his first 2 of the season. Dominic Alessandrisi and Johnny Shuffleboard also had great games, both racking up 2 assists in the game.

Comment 2: Interview with Raptors' GM @LordBirdman

1. Whalers is one of the weakest teams this season. What happened in this game? Why Whalers outplayed Raptors?
LordBirdman: This was the first game of the season for Colorado and we were still figuring out our best line combinations and tactics.  We came out of the gates as slow as possible and knew we were a better team than to get shut out by lowly Vancouver.

2. Raptors had 32 shots this game. Why you didn't manage to score a goal?
LordBirdman: Despite pouring the pressure on the Whalers, we just couldn't get one past Name Redacted.  He made some great saves and made the game look like it wasn't very close when in reality it was a tight contest.  Name Redacted played incredibly well and deserved the shut out in this one.

3. Raptors managed to win next 2 games against Whalers. Did you make some tactical adjustments?
LordBirdman: After our first couple of games, we made a number of changes to our lines and tactics.  We have since found our groove and are playing really well, having just recently beaten up on conference opponents Kelowna and Anchorage.  We are now fighting to get the best seeding possible to make a deep playoff run!

Comment 3: Interview with Raptors' player Carlos Brown @CB2212

1. This was Raptors' first game of the season. What happened in this game? Why you weren't able to score goals?

Carlos Brown: Sometimes the game just doesn't go your way, we had made some changes in the offseason and there was an adjustment period for sure.

2. Despite a big loss, you had a great individual game. You ended with game rating of 81. What is more important to you - winning games or individual acknowledgements?
Carlos Brown: Winning games of course, I don't know what goes into game rating and I don't much care, it didn't help us in not getting shutout so I'd take a lower GR in exchange for a W.

3. You had 6 shots on goal in this game. Do you usually have so many shots in a game?
Carlos Brown: 6 shots is a lot, especially when none of them go in. I try to go for quality over quantity but if the chances are there I'm gonna take them.
