Playing in Anchorage is an absolute fucking nightmare for opposing players. Alaska? Getting there is an absolute nightmare, and through all of my games played there I STILL don't know if they have wi-fi or not. Not only that, getting to the hotel and rinks is a nightmare. It's so tiny. And to that point Winnipeg is also has home ice advantage off the virtue no one wants to be there.

While I haven't been to Quebec for a game yet, I know for a fact every other team is going to play worse there because speaking english is frowned upon. The Citadelles are sitting in a good spot as there's a chance a mob will take out opposing teams top players for not using the correct tense of "toilette".

The terrible conditions for visiting teams make it a lot easier for the home team to steal games from tougher competition.
