S55 PT #3 - Franchise GOAT

As a prospect for the Edmonton Blizzard I thought I would use this opportunity to take a look and learn some of the history of the franchise. I found that there are few players that you could make the argument for as being the franchise’s greatest of all time. You look at franchise records you see names like Theo Kane, Tor Tuck, Jakub Aittokallio. You look beyond franchise records and you see Tommy Tuck, a monster in goal who dominated the league during his playing days.
The player that I am choosing might not actually be the GOAT yet, but at the end of their career should have that consideration, Tony Pepperoni. Theo Kane currently holds the franchise record for most goals and points, but I think its very plausible that Mr. Pepperoni breaks those records before retiring. He is already a two time Challenge Cup Champion. Pepperoni won the scoring title in Season 51 while taking home both the league MVP and the players MVP, and was a nominee in season 54 for league MVP. He is also a 3 time 1st team All-Star, well on his way in S55 for his 4th time. Also something of note, since joining the team, Edmonton has not missed the playoffs. |
