I assume another update wasn't given since not too much big progress has been made since then given the time constraints and the nature of how long something like this takes.

I missed that update in October, can assume I wasn't the only one. Great that it was given then, doesn't mean we can't have another one four months later, even if the update is "Unfortunately guys not much has changed since last update (link) because everything sucks."

Again, fully respectful of the process involved in this and the people working on it, definitely think it could have been addressed better, but on something this vital I think it's important to provide those updates along the way, even if the updates are discouraging or not what we might want to hear.
