7. Was watching S58 SMJHL Preseason Day 1 stream. Was very excited to see Anaheim Outlaws play their first games as this squad. First game was hard. We were trying our best to score, had our chances, but Vancouver Whalers goalie had an amazing game so it was 0:4 win for Whalers. Second game was against Nevada Battleborn team. Nevada took pace with goal in first halp of a period. Outlaws started to take control and at secong half of second period was leading in shots. Last minute in second period. Kampainen wins faceoff, puck goes to "Long" John Donair. He passes to Tumovs, he shots and scores. First goal for Outlaws, many more to come. But not in this game. In third period Nevada showed that you can shoot how much you like, but wins team with better accuracy. 3:1 Nevada took W home.
One thing that surpriced me during this stream was Maine Timber team. First game agains Kelowna 5:3 and what amazed me was team shooting accuracy. Timber scored three times with only thirteen shots at goal. Second game fas no different. Maine came out strong against Detroit Falcons too. With sixteen shots at goal Maine scored two times. In comparison Detroit shot fourty seven times to score three of them. I give credit to Maine as very strong offencive team. Looking forward to meet in this season.
