A question that is surrounded by much controversy. In truth the SHL stands for Sanctimonious Hedonistic Lads. You see in the very early days the SHL was really just an excuse for lads to get together and engage in some extracurricular behavior while hanging with their buds. Hockey was just what they told the normies who weren't in the know about what they were doing. Then they played hockey and one guy hit another guy real hard. Then it was only about hockey.
