Edmonton has a storied history of success with the longest active SHL playoff streak, and multiple cups. There aren't many other teams you can look at and say "They've taken Hamilton to 7 games and also got reverse swept by Winnipeg over a 3-season span." That kind of history makes it very hard to turn down Edmonton as a team you'd want to play for in the near future!
