I think a decent few people got snubbed from the all star teams. At the time of the announcement I can't really see through what metric Rikard Bjerg made the Western team. With only 14 (or 18 i cant really remember) points at the time, Bjerg did not really produce that much for offense, so I figured that his nomination was through great possession numbers. They ended up not being that good, as his Corsi % Rel was only a zero. I'm guessing his shots blocked were his main reason for inclusion because he had a lot of those. As for who could have made it instead, players like Keith Lee, Kaspars Claude, Adam Scianna or Karlstrasse Scholz had more eye catching statlines, with Lee and Scholz having better stat lines in the possession column. I could also make the case for myself but I'm also having a pretty sub par season. All this being said its good that players from the lower down teams are getting more all star representation.
