If worst came to worst and the situation were dire....... you need nutrition....... you must consume your peers. If you had to eat another SHL player, who would you eat and why? (sorry in advance Julio)

If I had to consume another Simulation Hockey League player purely as a last resort for nutrition, I would most likely do it with Goku Muerto. As he has hit retirement, he is well past his prime and usefulness for the Winnipeg organization. Plus his ability to go supersaiyan can yield incredible supernatural powers that should pass on to me, or anyone else, that consumes him. As he passes on, because he is past his prime, it shouldn't affect the organization terribly much adversely but with our new found super powers we can become an entire team of super skating hockey monstars! Yeah. That sounds good.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?

Team USA is my obvious favorite here, however with the prime players aging out and the younger players starting to step up and fill in the gaps, I feel they will do well...but it will be similar to the last three tournaments where we may not be able to go the entire distance until all the chemistry is figured out. Interestingly enough, I feel that Team Great Britain will be the team to beat this year. They have had quite a few players really start stepping up over the past two seasons and are now poised to be the top contender in the tournament for some time to come. Behind them I think is a tough Japan team that we should look out for. I don'[t really have a solid backing of reason to this, but I feel that maybe the team from the Land of the Rising Sun has been overlooked quite a bit lately and will make a huge impact. Its just a gut feeling.

The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?

I'm a goaltender. I'm covered in pads, I have a full face mask and a really big ass stick. If all things were legal in this "purge" scenario, I would start leaving the crease to hard check some people without any concern. Slashing? No problem. If you get in my crease, you had better watch out or this hefty goalie stick will come knocking across your head, or back...or maybe even a kneecap (Tanya Harding anyone?). Goalies are prima donnas by nature. We crave the pressure and when things don't go right, we're worse than a "I want to speak to your manager" haircut in the middle of a grocery store complaining about a coupon while our "heaven's little angel" runs amok with the shopping cart in the next aisle over. All that aggression can totally be put to use in annihilating the other team. Would that expose our goal a bit more? Absolutely. But once the entire opposing team is knocked out, scores don't really matter.
