I like this question, like a lot. There are going to be many good answers for this with many good reasons as to why so and so is better. Let’s look at the logos shall we? Atlanta Inferno, okay so we’re gonna get burned by a fire bird? Seen that before. Baltimore Platoon, they’d probably last a long time if their logo had an actual platoon and not a bird. Buffalo Stampede, very dangerous logo here, no one wants to get ran over. Calgary Dragons, how the hell do you kill a dragon, they’d make it very far in a fight. Chicago Syndicate, one man in a suit, I like those odds. Edmonton Blizzard, a wolf that freezes their opponents? Hamilton Steelhawks, another bird but made of steel? Los Angeles Panthers, this team could cause issues but I do not see them beating a dragon. Manhattan Rage, another dangerous logo that has horns, dragon would probably eat them. Minnesota Monarchs, come in dead last as kings do not fight. New England Wolfpack, more wolves I guess. New Orleans Specters, does anyone know how to get rid of a spooky ghost, probably not able to fight but can’t be hit so they tie for first? San Francisco Pride, a Lion, fierce and will probably be eaten by the dragon. Seattle Argonaut, they might be able to take down the dragon so they should put up a fight. Tampa Bay Barracuda, stay out of the waters or else pink sharp tooth fish bites. Texas Renegades, if men with guns are allowed, probably will win the fight. Toronto North Stars, nope, unless it falls out of the sky and lands on the dragon. Winnipeg Aurora, somehow worse than the Monarchs? After all this consideration I believe either the Dragons, Specters. Argonauts, and Renegades will win. (302)


Task 12: Up to 4 TPE
a.  Buffalo easily has the strong offense these playoffs. They have 10 players who have more points than Texas’ top point getter. I will say that Buffalo also played three more games where they could rack up more points so that may affect these findings. Regardless, Buffalo has had offensive threats for a long time now. [55]

b.  Buffalo shouldn’t have a chip on their shoulder at all, they have been a very successful team now for a few seasons. Texas on the other hand has something to prove to the league. After seasons of rebuilding they are finally in their prime and it has been showing the last few seasons. [53]


c.  I prefer Texas’ branding. I have always liked the branding since I first joined the site. I am a fan of the black, dark logo and the name seems to fit nicely. Texas Renegades makes you think of old west outlaws and their logo captures that. I have never been a fan of the green and yellow Buffalo logo. I don’t mind the name itself, the colors are just an eyesore for me. [73]


d.  Buffalo. Normally I would have gone to Texas for a weekend, but Buffalo would allow me to visit my buddy Joe. So that is what I would do, visit Mr Kurczewski and probably get some beers and make fun of this silly made up place. Maybe actually catch a hockey game or something. [53]
