The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage?
Cillian Kavanagh is quickly becoming known has 'fastest hands in the West' due to his fast glove hand and blocker side he flashes night in and night out at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Because of this Cillian will make swiping free items at stores quick and easy. Not only will he be the fastest to swipe free things off the shelves but also can catch items being thrown at him which he'll deposit quickly into bags. Cillian also has a zero tolerance for people to be in or around his crease. Same thing goes for being at stores when it's a rat race to the expensive items like TVs and gaming consoles. Someone would be running straight at Cillian and he'll use his strong lower half to body the individual and take his puck, ehhmm, I mean flatscreen. Because of this, Cillian would make a great friend in a purge being able to swipe all the most expensive merchandise off the shelves and bodying anyone who gets too close.

If real life versions of all 18 SHL team logos were entered into a fight, which would come out victorious and why? Which would be the first eliminated?
A logo fight is no joke. I haven't witnessed one but I was present during a full on mascot brawl at an AHL all star game involving 3+ plus mascots. The weakest logos that would be eliminated right off the hop would be Winnipeg and Toronto because of obvious reasons. My next weakest would be Baltimore, Buffalo, Tampa Bay and Seattle. The bald eagle, buffalo and barracuda are all menacing creatures however do not compare in terms of strength and versatility to the remaining logos. Seattle is also in there because if the battle was anywhere but water they would have a hard time coming on top. Skipping to my toughest logos would be Calgary - because who would want to mess with a fire breathing dragon; Atlanta for the same reason but less power and more speed. A darkhorse is the Specter who I could see use magic and illusion to come out on top. The Renegade, all the 2 wolves (Edmonton, Wolfpack) and the other strong animals (Rage, Steelhawks, Panthers and Pride) would all make a solid B tier. Overall i'm going to go with the Specter because it looks terrifying and I wouldn't want to mess with it.

Which SHL or SMJHL team was the best team to not make the finals this season and why?
I'm again showing some bias but going to talk about the Renegades for a finals favorite. Number one coming out of the West with a record of 49-15-2. Solid depth up and down the lineup with no holes. An outstanding goalie tandem, if I do say so myself. Texas had a great semi final round against Hamilton, edging them out in game 7 to head on to face Buffalo for the Cup. Puoli is a true leader and knows what it takes to win. The guys in the locker room were upset with last years early exit and knew we would need to work twice as hard in the offseason to get where we wanted to be. Well, Texas is here now in the finals and we're not going to stop until the Cup is ours.

What's your prediction for this season's IIHF tournament? Which teams do you expect to do well (or not well)? Which players?
Well, the United States seems to always be in medal contention as well as Great Britain and Sweden. Looking over their rosters quickly, I like the USA to be a shoe-in for a gold medal this season. They had 2 of the top 7 point getters in the whole tournament last year as well as the GOAT Strom Chamberlain in net notching 9 wins with a 1.91 GAA, 2 shutouts and a .935 save percentage. For the rest of the medal winners, Great Britain looks good with Jon Forty-One leading the way for them with 8 goals and 17 points last year which tied the tournament high. Canada is looking to bring home another gold and there roster hasn't changed much so I like their chances. I wouldn't count out teams like Germany and Russia however as they both made it to the semi finals last year. I'm going to take, USA - gold, CAN - silver, Great Britain - Bronze.
