The Purge is a concept where typically illegal things (e.g., robbery, murder) are legalized for one day. In an SHL-purge, there's a game day where everything typically illegal to do on the ice is now legal. No rules for sticks or pads, no penalties, no icing, etc. What will your player do on the ice to make the most of this and gain a competitive advantage? The Purge on Ice. The one time a season a player can get away with doing whatever they want on the ice. A lot of players like to take it to the limit. They throw down fisticuffs, they will try to spear other players in the eye. They are a bunch of rowdy hooligans and are bloodthirsty. If anyone knows me, they know I am a lover not a fighter. I am going to go around and give everyone hugs. Oh... they can try to fight it, but no one can escape the iron like grip of Alimony Tony. I will try to hug as many opposing players as possible. This is a non-violent way to distract players on defense and hopefully set us up for a big play. I get punched quite a bit, but I just keep on hugging. If that makes me a monster than so, be it.
