Prompt 1
First, enjoyed the PT Prompt 1s and the ability to come back to a storyline each week. I will agree with another comment that it got kinda stale, just describing games and celebrations, would have been fun to explore difference aspects of the team (rivalries, road trips?), but overall neat. Really looking forward to more stuff like this from PT team!

PT#1
Aksel Fiske is easily placed on the Up-And-Comer team, as a S62 draftee. Some other notable players on his team include Ben Jammin, Mikko Rashford, Sconnie McHits, and Spack Jarrow. All fresh faces in the league, just entering their second year in their J teams. Although some Quebec teammates also made the Team, Fiske gravitates towards his fellow draftees, having built a rapport with them leading up to the draft.

If one takes the Up-And-Comers at face value, they would be easily written off. But what they lack in star power, they make up for in determination and endless passion for the sport and the looming challenge. Rashford’s already drawn up strengths and weaknesses of players on the other teams. Jammin checked Fiske into the boards, hard, at the first practice - but apologized and said it was force of habit. McHits has a mean slap shot and Jarrow has… rum. They’re a work in process, but they’ve got time.

PT#2
Aksel Fiske, along with the other Up-and-Comers, faced off against the Grizzled Vets. Their ranks included formidable foes like Tony Pepperoni, Luke Thomason, Mika Mayfield, and Cassius Darrow. I am sad to say it was a bloodbath. Dreams and ambition are truly no match for experience and grit. The game wasn't like what the younger players had experienced in the J's. The vets had been playing with and against each other for years and years. When the young players had to look up and shout calls, the vets could just drop passes and know their teammates would find it. The young players could outskate the vets, but they couldn't out maneuver them. Ankles were iced in between periods.

The final score ended up being 0-9 for the Up-and-Comers, who were disappointed but not downtrodden. This was an important match in the grand scheme of the game, and they'll go into their next matchup with some more tricks up their sleeves.

PT#3
The Up-And-Comers are getting along and have good chemistry, sure, but that's nothing compared to players who have known each other for decades. The Hall-Of-Famers never looked when they passed, had intricate plays that the youngsters didn't see coming, and there's something to be said for raw talent. The only think the Up-And-Comers could capitalize on was their speed and agility - the HoFs started getting gassed late into the second period and rallied for the third, but the youngsters never flagged.

In the future, they'll have to cover players better and keep an eye out for trick plays that they haven't seen before. It doesn't help that the HoFs played in a different league and it was an entirely different game - the agressiveness was not something the young players had really experienced. Losses are hard, but they're easier to shake off when you know you played your best, and your opponents were out of your league. The Up-And-Comers aren't out of the running yet, and now they really know what they're up against.

PT#4
The celebrations after the Up-and-Comers beat the Grizzled Vets are ongoing. It was hard fought, but the youngsters learned from their previous defeat. They practiced scenarios until they were second nature. When Fiske had the puck, he knew McHits would be on his right as they skated across the blue line. Jammin and Rashford would stick to the blue line and slapped shots until their sticks broke.

The game itself was a monster, everyone was on edge. The Vets scored first in the second period, after a tense first period. Jarrow answered back just before the end of the period, and the Up-and-Comers entered the third period hungry for a win. They got a break when Thomason tripped Jammin, and scored on the power play. Vets scored on a breakaway minutes later, and with two minutes left the youngsters pulled their goalie. They could skate harder than the Vets with another man on the ice, and with seconds left, they found their opening. Rashford slapped it hard and McHits tipped it in. Final scored was 3-2 and the Up-and-Comers celebrated with pizza. Many pizzas.

PT#5
Team Up-and-Comers arrived to the final showdown against the Superstars hot off a win and with plenty of wind in their sails. They had defeated the Grizzled Vets, they could conquer the Superstars with enough determination and teamwork.

At least, that's what they thought.

Players like Ryuuji Minamino and Emilia Bergman may not have years of experience under their belt, but they are at the height of their career, and they certainly played like it. Right off the first faceoff, Mitchell van der Heijden sent the puck towards Steve Harrington, who scored ten seconds into the game. Brick Wall splayed in its wake, and the replay showed he didn't have a chance.

It wasn't a bloodbath. Somehow, Rashford and Jammin managed to block the shots that Brick Wall couldn't and the third period started 2-4. McHits and Jarrow each manage to eke out a well-shot goal, with sleek passes made by Fiske.

The game finished at 4-4. After impassioned speeches by McHits and Rashford, overtime started. The Up-and-Comers played strong defensively, but couldn't get any shooting chances. It was on a breakaway, five minutes into the second overtime, that Minamino scored on a breakaway.

The younger players were disappointed but not devastated by the loss - they'd played better than many thought possible, and they had long careers ahead of themselves where eventually, they would be the Superstars.
