It was a long flight to get myself out from the East coast of Canada and I was tired and just plain exhausted of all the people asking for my autograph. Being a rockstar is tough, especially when you're trying to double it up with your first year in the J, and trying to get yourself noticed for the SHL draft next year. Between training and practice, I had totally been burning it at both ends. Steeling myself a bit before entering the door, I take a deep breath and prepare for the onslaught of questions a rockstar like myself might get. When I walk in, nothing, no reaction except for brief lookups.

"Well it's kind of nice for people not to go nuts when I walk into the room" I laugh a little as I get some quizzical looks from my teammates.

"Who are you again?" one of them asks, not recognizing me immediately "oh right, you're that new draft pick from that shitty band. Your seats down there" I stand slightly shocked, my ego having taken a big hit.

Apart from that, the rest of practice went pretty well. Got some good reps in, but I really have to remember, that in this room, I'm just another rookie, and they're gonna give me no benefit for my hit songs.
