It was probably the feeling I was most excited for but at the same time I questioned it a little bit. Was I going to like where I was drafted to? What if I didn't? The wait was incredibly long, so when the draft finally came, it was super exciting. Once things got started I wasn't too sure what to expect but when Kelowna called my name at 10th overall I couldn't contain how happy I was. I had put in extremely hard work to get myself noticed and I'm determined to continue that work to ensure their pick was one they won't forget and maybe others will regret overlooking.

The first moments in the locker room were amazing. You take a look around and everything is just so crazy in that moment. They allowed us each to walk in alone and kind of experience the moment and it was unbelievable. You're looking around and you see all the stalls, the name plates, equipment, machines, the logos and finally your gaze lands on your own area with your name above it. It's pretty damn hard to put into words. Eventually once we all had our moment and the team was off the ice, they came in and welcomed all of us. Every member was incredibly welcoming, including management... after things died down we've all talked a lot, trained together and are getting pretty excited for the season..
