For prompt 2, I’m going to be writing as if it’s like the last 5 minutes of the game. I think the least tense would be being up by one. It has the least to lose if you give up a goal since while it would make you drop one point which you could possibly win back in overtime and the shootout. It’s not nearly as bad as the other two. The next tense in my opinion would be being down one, while it is more tense than being up one due to the fact that at the time you’re getting zero points, it’s still not nearly as bad when you’re tied. When it’s tied there’s three possible options, you score and get the two points, you stay tied and going into OT which is the most tense any game could be, and then you have giving up a goal and dropping two whole points.
