When did your franchise last win a Challenge Cup? Write about that team, some of the key players, and what intangibles they had going for them to be able to win it all. If your franchise hasn’t yet won a cup, choose any cup winning team and talk about why you’d like your current team to emulate them. Did they have an all time great roster? Were they scrappy under dogs?

This isn't the challenge cup, I'm sorry, sue me, but I'm using this task to write about my first season with the SMJHL and how I won the S57 Four Star Cup with the Anchorage Armada. This was my first time ever participating with simulation hockey league and it was a blast. Every single season I was with ANC we made it to the finals, but it was only that first season that we were able to win it. Gabe did a great job getting a bunch of active players at their 450 cap to lead us through most of the way, plus some really good puck luck helped us on taking out QCC. We weren't the underdogs of the entire playoffs, but everyone in the league was expecting QCC to blow everyone out that playoff run. We've not gotten past round 1 since I've been with ATL, but this past run was the closest we've been until we choked and got reverse swept. WC - 163

Rumour has it that millions of years before the SHL began, there was a pre-historic “Dino Hockey League” that dominated the global sports market before a meteor wiped out most life on the planet. Describe that ancient league. Maybe name a couple of teams or players, tell me about how the Dino league’s rules differed from our current ones? This one is pretty loose, just have fun with it!

A Dino Hockey League sounds absolutely fantastic. It could go one of two ways: either each individual team is made up of nothing but that dinosaur (for example the Pucky Pteranadons are just pteranadons) or there's a mix of dinos among each team. A mix would certainly be more fair, but for naming's sake, we're going to pretend like each team is its own dino. We have the Pucky Pteranadons, the Massive Mammoths, the Vicious Velociraptors, the Center Ice Cavemen, and many more. I don't think this would make very much sense and I'm already having troubles imagining how it would work. Could you imagine a brachiosaur on skates? I don't even know if it could get on the ice without it breaking. It's so large that you could go five-hole on it all day long. Some carnivorous dinos might lose their temper if things get too heated and simply eat the opposition. What are you going to do, send a t-rex to the penalty box? - WC 166

Congratulations, procrastinator!  Through your terrible time management skills, you’ve unlocked a special task! [TEAM] has won it all! Was it an exciting final, or predictable? Did anything surprise you about the outcome? What players performed above or below what was expected of them?

Well, HAM won, big surprise. While HAM winning was predictable, I would say the final was anything but. LAP made the finals! I've not been with the SHL long enough to know much of its cup history, but it seems like year after year after year it's HAM, BUF, CHI, or TEX. It's so refreshing to finally see someone else make a run like LAP. Not only that, but they made it an actual series only losing 2-4! I gotta say whoever's idea it was for the new regression, I do think that had a lot to do with it and it was a fantastic idea. - WC 106

Leviadan has made the grave mistake of becoming PT director. I'm already sapping his life source and joyful innocence (yum). How could you, as a user, also make his job unnecessarily difficult? Make media about his shit PT prompts? Write your submissions in Spanish?

Congrats Leviadan! Making media about how shit they are certainly would help, as well as other non-English language PTs, but I think the best thing to do is to just make snide remarks that are very passive aggressive in every single one of your PTs, such as how awful it is to have a continuing series of PTs. Aside from this, you can also just tag them directly in Discord and complain about it every single week and even DM them over the site. The options are endless! But for real though coming up with these tasks every single week and somehow keeping them fresh and unique seems difficult enough as it is. - WC 113
