The first thing that the SHL would need to hook the older viewers is to change their advertising. No more ads based around alcohol, partying, and preparing for your future. Now the focuses need to be on things like medicare, retirement, and and the new world drugs you can track down! You have aches and pains? Try the new ache away, sponsored by the oldest ref in the league! Try some antiaging cream! Viagra! The works. You have a new demographic so you need to make sure you're showing off the products that would do them the most good. The next step would be extending half time. Hosting the game early just doesn't cut it. Everyone knows that after 60, you can't spend more than 30 minutes watching any media without needing a nap. So instead of a hype half time, just extend half time to an hour and play some calm music. help your audience rest before they finish the game! This will really bring in the old people. I'm sure there is much more to do, but these would be at the top of my list.
