I hate fighting in hockey. When I was younger I use to find it cool, but now I despise it. It's dangerous and it's completely unrelated to the main game. I think that's a really good thing that it's uncommon these days. I really wish we could ban it from the sport. Assault should not be legalised when we are playing. Some people argue that it reduces the number of dirty hits because the player has to be accountable, but I do not agree. It only continues a circle of violence that has no place in sports. The sport of hockey is beautiful and I don't think that having a boxing match in the middle of a game makes it more entertaining.  If I was the one making the rule, I would make it so that player that fought is out of the game and suspended 3 games. Too many players have been hurt and concussed following dumb fights.
