Pete Aleman has always had a very strong philosophy about hockey, ever since he was a kid: defense breeds offense. Puck possession is king. So, to try to work in this direction, Pete would steal the defensive and skating abilities of the league's best. Perhaps the balance of Zayne Dangle, the acceleration of Dogwood Maple. The strength and hitting ability of Jay O'Neil. Grogu Mandosson's speed. The biggest thing that Aleman thinks, however, is that a strong defensive game starts from the mindset: being able to understand where the puck is going and when. To truly reach the peak at this, he'd point the laser beam towards Marco Barengrub. He has an incredible eye for positioning and being in the right place at the right time, knowing when to hit, when to check, when to jump up and join the rush. The hockey IQ is the most important part of Pete's game and the best way he sees to improve is to steal that.
