Ricky Koivu's season was very good! He is very satisfied with how much he improved compared to season sixty nine. After scoring a measly 10 goals last season in the SHL last season, Ricky went insane in comparison in the present season, netting 30 goals. On top of that, he scored 89 points, when he only managed 54 in the prior season. Considering how young his career is right now, Koivu has taken a crazy step forward with his breakout season. After an average and underwhelming start to his time in the SHL after going second overall in S65, Koivu is finally showing why he went so high. He played most of his career as a winger, which perhaps was not the right fit for him, but his potential was really unlocked when coach Max Brannagan started playing him in the middle at center. On top of this, Koivu showed that he had some massive power play prowess, as he earned minutes on the top unit and made good use of them. Overall, it was a very successful season for Ricky where he really began to establish himself as a premium player in the league. (196 words)
