For Jeff, his rookie year came with personal success but failure from a team standpoint. Up until this point, Jeff has been a winner everywhere he's been, leading the team on the offensive end to exceptional heights, including the Swiss junior national title in his final season with his old club. Now, more things than ever are out of his control, and Jeff has also had to get acclimated to a new country and playing against older players. His defensive shortcomings are being repeatedly exposed, and his offense relies on his ability to use his teammates and trust them to make the right plays, as before, as the star of his team, he did everything himself. The change was relatively seamless on the offensive end, but the physical and defensive training must increase to be a reliable player in this league. Jeff as well as other rooks are being trusted with the keys to drive this team's future, and this is surely only the beginning. (167 words)
