The defending challenge cup champions will start the season as favourites to win, obviously. So the question is not really how we are going to win the cup, but how we are not going to lose the cup that is already ours. The team has had a short off-season due to, you know, winning the cup, and then having a parade, then each player having their day with the cup, and of course the post-season orgy at @HabsFanFromOntario 's place, as is tradition. Suffice to say we haven't really had much time to practice and get back into peak form for the pre-season.

Luckily, co-gm whipping started early last week and will switch into full gear this week. All the players and call-ups will be whipped so hard they'll forget we ever won the cup and the drive and thirst for the championship will be renewed. We will leave it all on the ice again this season, and hopefully come away victorious again, we don't want to be a bunch of Wayne Regretzkys (dad joke?)
