John Brown feels very confused meeting this "Orr" person, as he has never heard of such a person. The general bulk of their conversation is comprised about trying to understand who each other are, as John Brown again, has never met such a professional hockey player. In fact, John Brown asks a lot of questions about their historical perspective and what they think of very important issues, such as things like slavery and modern day prisons known as for profit prisons. It makes him very interested in the state of the world to learn from someone who is both older and yet younger than John Brown, because time clearly makes no sense here. It's very confusing but John Brown does his best to catch on. Ultimately, this means that John Brown has no idea about what he was supposed to do with this ghost because he was too busy asking about historical perspectives from a ghost.
