Chuck likes to split his time between preparation for the next season and relaxation. Once the season wrapped up he headed home to relax with family in New York (upstate, not the city). While here, to keep his cardio up he skated with the local semi-pro team. During these skates he would always save time afterwards to sign autographs for fans who would come watch the daily skates. He would make sure to limit the number of autographs though as to make sure he did not devalue his signature (he said this 100% sarcastically, of course).

Aside from daily practice skates with the local team he would revisit his favorite childhood restaurants as eating was almost as fun as playing hockey, maybe better depending on the day. Occasionally he would be approached by fans during his meals which would always spark joy in his family who still cannot get over the minor amount of fame he has garnished.
