Normally, the offseason is a great time for the Time family to vacation, usually starting or ending in whichever country is hosting that year's IIHF tournament. This season was bound to be different, though, as the final destination after a tough tournament in Norway was not home in Edmonton, but to settle into a new home in San Francisco. With help from family, agents, and future teammates in the bay area, the brunt of the work was handled while the Times were overseas, but it wasn't until the long cab ride back from the San Francisco International airport that they set foot in the new sprawling home by the bayside. Instead of a travel vacation, the family spent their abbreviated offseason getting to know the city, enjoying outings with teammates and their families and settling into a city that appeared to be as excited to have them as they were to be there.
