If I had to change one rule in hockey it would probably just be a slight adjustment to how playing the puck with your hand works. I think you should be able to score goals by just chucking it into the net, but you only have a limited amount of times to try it per game. If you hit another skater with it, you’re automatically removed from the game and get a nice sit down with player safety. High risk, high reward. You’d have specialists on your team who can just bend over mid skate, pick up the puck, and toss that shit in. Thrown pucks would be an important and rationed part of the game a la timeouts. I have no real reason for this other than it being conceptually really funny.
