He’s not one to get rattled easily, so if someone tries to pull a fast one on him, he’ll usually just shrug it off and stay focused on his game. But if it keeps happening, Billy isn’t afraid to stand up for himself or his teammates. He’ll give a stern warning or even drop the gloves if necessary, making it clear that he won’t tolerate any nonsense on the ice. Billy also thinks the league could do more to crack down on dirty play. He’d like to see stricter penalties for things like embellishment or cheap shots, to send a message that there’s no place for that in the SHL. Ultimately, though, Billy believes that the best way to prevent tricks is to outplay the opposition fair and square. He focuses on honing his skills and staying sharp so that he can outsmart and outmaneuver anyone who tries to take shortcuts.
