I have never been one to pull pranks on others, just not my thing. April 1 has always just been another day for me. However, because I am so far on the side of not pulling pranks on others, I think that only makes me more of a target for my teammates. It has become a tradition in the Texas locker room that when April Fool's Day rolls around, something is going to be done to McCarthy. One year, my entire locker was cleared out and all of my stuff was put in one of the goal nets. Another year, they somehow changed all of the times on my phone so that I arrived 3 hours early for a practice, and I did not notice it until I got to the rink and not a single person was there. It is all in good fun though, I really enjoy seeing what my teammates come up with each year, even if it is at my expense!
