Tricks and slightly dirty play are definitely helpful when you can pull them off. Celeste largely relies on skill, but sometimes you just need to employ the stuff that isn't necessarily by the book. As a soccer player, they're most definitely not above embellishment to try and get a penalty called. and as a smaller player it's relatively easy to sell a hit from a bigger skater as a bigger deal than it actually was. And with Celeste's general awareness of the ice and the players around them, they're not generally a player that's going to fall victim to the kinds of dirty plays you can see coming from a mile away. They're also not going to whine about getting got with one of those dirty plays, though. To them, learning to avoid those plays is both a game and a skill to be honed in the process of becoming a better hockey player. If that means they take a few dirty hits or get slewfooted, so be it.
