Holmberg hates when players use tricks to get an advantage. Diving is his biggest issue, he thinks that a player resorting to diving to draw a penalty is a coward and they don't respect the game. Diving is cheap way to get a call, and to Holmberg it is an indicator of who to really lay into if they are going to dive. If you are getting called for the penalty, you might as well make it count. Dirty hits behind the play when the refs are looking will happen, but it's something that paints a target on your back. You think you can avoid it and run for ever, but sooner or later you'll slip up and the other team/player will get retaliation for the dirty hit you threw. For Holmberg it will always be an eye for an eye, you play the game hard and fair and he will give it right back. As soon as your try to be dirty or draw penalties off dives, he'll start to lay it in.
