The horror movie is going to be one of those thrillers that is just ever so subtly unsettling and you can’t quite put your finger on why but you’re acutely aware of your fight or flight response kicking in and your heart racing in your chest. It’s going to follow some of the players as they go about their lives on the off day - blissfully unaware that something dreadful awaits them back at the arena. The viewer knows all about this dark secret, which makes it disturbing as they watch the players make plans all the while knowing that it’s all pointless. The documentary style film then follows the players as they walk into the practice facility and are met with the most grizzly sight that you could imagine: a note from the coach that todays practice was going to be a bag skate as their effort lately has been absolutely dreadful, and also he heard they were enjoying themselves way too much on the off day. The audience gasps in horror as the players get this shocking news, and then it fades to black.
